As part of the project in modern history at the Collaborative Research Centre 1285 “Invectivity. Constellations and Dynamics of Disparagement” (Dresden, Germany), three podcasts were produced in an online seminar organized by Dorothea Dils. They analyze verbal and symbolic forms of disparagement in constellations of political dispute in the German Empire, addressing a series of lese majesty in 1890, the “Kladderadatsch” affair, and the trail against Wilhelm Liebknecht in 1895.
